“If only I’d met you earlier, my husband wouldn’t have died!”
The young widow in her early 30s, and a mother of two young children below three years, wailed.
Her young husband, who suffered from Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE), had caved in because of their unfavourable circumstances and given in to depression which culminated in his committing suicide.
Family and society pointed accusing fingers at her and blamed her for her husband’s actions.
Nine months later, on the verge of depression herself, she sought help from Asthef.
After a period of counselling, she was able to build up her shattered self-worth, and go on with her dream of being a better parent to her fatherless children.
Today, she is a graduate of School of Trauma-informed Managers because she wants to be better equipped to help the traumatised around her.
According to her, “Trauma is NOT written on people’s faces but the SIGNS are always there. If only I’d taken note of the signs my husband exhibited, he would have been helped, and he would still be alive today.”
You don’t have to wait until disaster strikes before you make your move.
School of Trauma-informed Managers has made this training easily affordable for you.
